Hosts
Mercedes is a 5th-generation Alaskan with a passion for sharing her local knowledge with anyone willing to listen! She has worked in positions of public service as well as hospitality throughout the stages of her life in Alaska, and now as a retiree, is excited to work full-time in providing guests the best possible experience while visiting. Her husband Jay retired from the US Army in 2006, and his 20+ years in the military took him across the USA and overseas. After once being stationed in Alaska, he returned to make it his permanent home. Alaska has a way of drawing you back!
When the two aren't working to ensure guests have premier accommodations, you’ll find them outdoors enjoying everything Alaska has to offer year-round. Both Mercedes and Jay are always eager to share their love of Alaska, so don’t be shy and reach out for recommendations!
